1.3.12

.wintry beauty.

The night before Rachel and Nick's wedding
the forecast was predicting snow and ice for the following day.
I think everyone was a slightly nervous about how
that would affect the day's festivities.
Well it did snow a little bit, but not enough
to do anything but make the day extra magical.

Rachel carried a simple bouquet of red roses
wrapped in green ribbon.

The bridesmaids held white, long stem calla lilies also wrapped in green ribbon.
The contrast with the red dresses was gorgeous!

Rachel was a beautiful bride, wasn't she?

springtime beauty

For this April wedding, the bride wanted the feel of cherry blossoms and early spring
with colors of red, white and pink.
At the reception, each table was named after a different type of flower
which was the centerpiece for the table.

The bride's bouquet was a mix of red roses and red tulips
with pink snapdragons, pink spray roses and white freesia for accent.

The bridesmaids carried white flowers: roses, lilies, and freesia
with the maid of honor having calla lilies and gerbera daisy
with a touch of pink and red for accent.

The altar arrangements were a mix of red gladiola, white and red roses and pink alstromeria.

Congratulations to the beautiful bride!
And thanks to my friend Jen for assisting me -she did a fabulous job.

.autumn glory.

The flowers for this wedding this past fall were perfect for the season.
Reds, oranges and golden yellow.

The bride carried red and circus roses and some white peonies.

The groomsmen wore orange mini calla lilies.

And the bridesmaids carried a combination of orange callas.

The bride was so thrilled that we were able to get peonies
(which are normally not in season that time of year).
I love it when things work out perfectly like that.

.bright.

I had so much fun making the bouquets for this wedding this past summer.
They were very simple but beautiful.

The bridesmaids carried gerbera daisies in pink, red, yellow and orange.
They were a stunning contrast with their black dresses.
The beautiful bride's bouquet was a combination of white roses and white gerberas.

The groomsmen had boutonnieres of different colored mini gerberas.

The flower girl had a wreath of ferns and mini gerberas for her hair.

It was all so bright and cheerful and proves that wedding flowers don't have to be complicated to be beautiful!

.simple.

I loved the colors for this wedding: red and teal.

The bride's bouquet was comprised of red roses, red carnations and red dahlias,
with a teal ribbon wrap, of course!

The groomsmen had red hypericum berries for their boutonnieres.

The bridesmaids carried carnations: red for the ladies and white for the flower girl.

.unique.

I loved doing the flowers for this wedding because the bride and groom are so unique and wanted every aspect of their special day to be as unique as they are.  "Typical" was not in their vocabulary.

For the bride I used black baccarra roses, black callas and a single red rose.

The bridesmaids and flowers girls had a mix of white roses, red roses and black callas
to compliment their black and red dresses.
